Pantheon of Slovak Historical Figures was created as an initiative of the village in cooperation with local folk artist Štefan Lahučký. One of the first statues installed - after Slovak double cross and the memorial to the victims of World War I and II - was the statue of Jozef Tiso in 1997. The depiction of symbols of totalitarian regimes is prohibited in Slovakia a fact that visual artist Peter Kalmus systematically highlights through his artistic interventions. The intervention "Makeup Completion of the Tiso "statue" (photographed by Ján Karásek, 2016) was part of the exhibition - Here We Go Again? The Slovak State - in Contemporary Art at Kunsthalle Bratislava.
